Summer Beach Glamping in Wildwood NY Hither Hills

We went glamping near a beach.

It rained when we got there. And POURED before we left.

The beach was cute, but not worth the effort.

So we decided to go to a vineyard instead. That was cuter.

I really needed this weekend. I'd just survived an intense 5 days with no childcare, visiting family I haven't seen in years and trying to spend quality time with my kid instead of working all the time.

I'd hoped I'd be able to stretch that quality time into the weekend by taking my kid on this trip. But as many of you may know from co-parenting setups, scheduling conflicts can escalate and no one needs those bad vibes.

Ultimately, it worked out. My kid would have been miserable in the rain with 4 grownups trying to cope with the weather with wine 😅
