First Official Spring Kid Hike!

It finally happened!
I got parents of young kids to come out on a kids hike together with their little ones and it was awesome!
Not gonna lie, I've been looking forward to a trip like this for over a year and not only did the weather cooperate, the kids loved it!
This trail was about a mile and change at Cunningham Park in Queens, 20-minutes drive from Astoria Queens. Yes, we got parks like this in NYC and yes, your kids can hike a mile and change.
For adults at a regular pace, this would have been a 20-minute hike. But for toddlers, it took a full 2 hours, including snack and play breaks.
Yes, we had the falls and crying, the tantrums, the toddler disagreements 😅 But when you combine all our nervous systems together on a beautiful sunny day in the woods, anxiety and stress were (mostly) gone. Let the kids do what kids do while we're out here breathing deep and working together.
