Spring Group Hike to Hook Mountain (Outertheresary)

I committed to being an outdoor host and Outerthere back in Apr 2013.

That's when I bought the URL and set up an email newsletter. The website came shortly thereafter.

770+ trips and thousands of stories later and I have been commemorating this Outertheresary with fam for the last 13 years in a row, including this past weekend.

Thanks fam for supporting Outerthere all these years. I hope I've been able to support you, too.

For context, Oct 2012 was the month I hosted my first group trip - that's when the photo of me with a hat was taken iykyk - and hosted my last trip of the season, MiniOcktoberfest, which is the trip that historically marks the "close" of my season; I host trips year round now.

2026 will be my 14th consecutive year in a row hosting MiniOcktoberfest (a miracle considering I have 4-yr old born Oct 29 😅 ). Hope you can join me this year.
