Summer Friday Group Hike at Black Forest Park

OK, yes, it was a timber rattlesnake 🐍

But if I told you to casually walk past a rattlesnake, would you?

Now if I told you to walk past a regular ol' harmless snake, you would.

Timber rattle snakes don't bit or rattle unless provoked, so if we don't start none, there won't be none and that's really the only objective when you come across one.

They're rare because of habitat loss. And the last thing they want is a bunch of hikers interfering with their nap, sun bathing or pre-lunch prep.

Shoo hikers! Go look at bright little lizards or mushrooms instead. Thankyouverymuch.

And thank you Mr. Timber Rattle snake for blessing us.

Thank you gang for not getting in trouble and your patience while my mini me and I hosted you in the woods.
