Fall Gratitude Hike to Mt. Tammany With Bonus Visit to Lakota Wolf Preserve

In case you're wondering, yes I carried my 4-yr old toddler up Tammany. It was definitely not as easy as I made it look. She's heavy.

But she also makes me laugh. Like hysterical laugh sometimes. And she's warm and thoughtful. And she loves chatting it up with "daddy's friends" - a future host in the making!

But what made it extra, extra special is that after helping so many of you up these mountains, you all helped me. And for that, I'm beyond grateful. Big thank you to Jenn, Heloise, Tara and Andrea for being the best fam ever ๐Ÿ™
โ
And I finally got to take her to see the wolves! I had heard that it could be an almost spiritual experience but wasn't sure why - it's just a special zoo, right? Turns out, when they howl all together as dusk is approaching... that can feel pretty magical.โ
โ
...just not in 30 degree cold when your feet are freezing and your kid is running around, bored out of their minds because they lost interest in the presenter 2 minutes after they started ๐Ÿ˜‚โ

BTW, while I have your attention, there's a sale on ski trips today (there's a map of everywhere we're going on the page now). Prices start creeping up tomorrow.

And finally, it's almost Christmas. Consider a new MORE 4 Membership.

This one gets you 100% off *ALL THE TRIPS*, even multi-day glamping experiences with pickup ๐Ÿ™ƒ Gift it to yourself before price goes up in 2026.ย Learn more here. And yes, you can upgrade a current membership, too.
