PLEASE BE ADVISED: BEFORE BOOKING WITH US, GET YOUR RACE TICKET FROM RACE ORGANIZERS LISTED BELOW.
When someone mentions an obstacle course race aka OCR aka mud race aka Spartan Race... your face probably cringes. It seems interesting. Maybe even exciting. But, discouraged by the perception that you have to be fit to "run a race", you're probably discouraged from trying it. It's just not for you.
There are 5 races still in operation - Spartan, Tough Mudder (owned by Spartan), Rugged Maniac, Bone Frog and Savage Race - and with names like those, they do attract the alpha types, the testosterone-y types, and cross-fitters who don't always make you feel welcome.
But here's a secret about these races: they're not about racing, they're about finishing. They're about pushing past your mental and/or physical limit. And when you think you can't anymore, they're about the support your team gives you to finish.
You'll find people from all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of disabilities doing these races because they see past myths. They push past excuses. They see themselves just getting out there, having fun in the dirt with their friends, like they used to when they were young. These OCRs allow them to forget problems and just focus on getting from point A to point B.
Let's try this awesome trip together! Here's how:

Pro-tip: When you purchase your tickets directly from obstacle course race organizers, you're seeing a base price for a race. The final price is only available after you complete your registration. After taxes, mandatory insurance, mandatory service and processing fees, and in some cases, mandatory "charitable" donation that you’d pay on race registration websites, the final cost is often 50% more than the published price. Parking fees are also not included, so you may have to pay up to $10 (or even $20) CASH on race day for parking. So, bring cash.
To get a discount, here are some tactics that may work:
Search "[name of your race] discounts". You'll be taken to a discount site that'll give you a 10% or more discount on your race. Races regularly distribute discount codes to content creators and wholesalers that are passed on to their audiences.
Close the window before you purchase your ticket. Since they'll already have your email, you'll start receiving emails with discount offers in a few days.
You can volunteer race day for a free access. The hours aren't convenient, but it's a great way to participate for free.
You can reach out to a race organizer via Twitter and request a complimentary admission for creating content for them day of. Just make sure you have a website with similar content to prove you're serious.

For your information, we rely on 7-seater minivans with 144 cubic feet of interior space for our shuttle trips. They're able to go places where larger vehicles cannot and provide a more comfortable experience at a lower cost for our small groups than vehicles built for large groups.
That said, the interiors of our vehicles are cleaned and sanitized before every trip by your driver who is also your host. Everyone's temperature will be taken before entering. Face coverings will also be enforced during your ride. And weather permitting, we also keep our windows open (there are 2 in the front and 2 small ones in the back) for circulation. Finally, based on everyone's comfort level, we limit capacity to 5 per minivan. See below for additional safety information.
If you have any questions or concerns about our shuttle rentals, don't hesitate to ask. And hey, it's OK if you do not feel comfortable for any reason, and we won't take offense if it's not right for you.
As you may already know, we have an awesome refund & cancellation policy and your shuttle fee will be refunded instantly when you reply to this email, no questions asked. However, if you change your mind on the day of your pickup or if your temperature is too high the day of your ride and you are not permitted to enter our vehicle by your host, we unfortunately will not be able to refund you.
