Mountain biking is just two words put together to both describe it literally and simultaneously scare you. But if you know how to ride a bike, you can do this this. And if youalways "jump"ontothe sidewalkon your block, then you're already a beginner mountain biker.
Going uphill? No problem, you'll have a 18-speed bike to easily conquer every hill. Going downhill? Well, that's the point. But with super-precise disc brakes, a ridiculous off-road suspension system and a solid frame, your bike rental practically rides itself (...the creme de la creme of mountain bikes and trust that there is a HUGE difference! You’ll never go back to Walmart bikes.) Helmets included with your rental.
We're going to Blue Mountain in Peekskill, NY. It’s a system of trails thoughtfully designed by pros for beginners (and other pros), with single track (one bike behind the other) and double track (bikes ride next to each other), with plenty of quad burning uphills and fun downhill trails that will leave you feeling like you'll love it and maybe even go pro mountain biker on us.
Afterwards, weather and regulations permitting, we’ll roll on over to a local brewery for some well-deserved Beers & Burgers! Yeah!
Mountain biking is a ridiculous whole body workout so take a break from your stationary bike or skip leg day the day before. Although this trip is doable by anyone, this activity is rated Beginner to Advance.
This trip is accessible via Metro-North to Peekskill.
